Businka, wow, that's impressive. Have you lived in the US or any other English speaking countries? How have you reached this level?

Pavel, 2 reasons for that. First is I graduated from the faculty of foreign languages and second I worked as a head of international department in a trading company in Russia for 6 years so slowly improved a lot

reddy84, thanks bro It's tough for me to estimate the level. I've never passed any English exams like IELTS or TOEFL. Otherwise I'd know

6 or 7. But since I do not like # 6, I have voted for 7.

To be honest, even if u are a native speaker that doesn't mean the english level is 10! I speak english since the day i could speak! But i would say, my written english is really bad. I tend to make so many grammatical errors because u know speaking and writting is just different. U may think it sounds correct, and when u speak the language so fast u don't even realize but when u put it in written, gosh, then u'll know!!

We should have divided the question, i.e. you can't ask the level with that kind of question, can you? it makes no sense i'd suggest as below
1. your writing,
2. speaking,
3. listening, (understanding)
4. reading skills.
i bet the majority will rate speaking high

I've been studying english for 30 years by now, including 15 years of active usage in my job.... and I don't dare to say I know it for 9/10 points, I'd say 7.5 . Maybe I am just closer to Earth and more realistic .

On the other hand, official tests are something that is more objective, more quantative way of measurement for the language skills and it is not a "self-estimation". Most of the people who think they know English very well, tend to get a lower score during exam. Hence, I don't question your level, I just wanted to compare

Zman, Zman, baby, we all understood correct - she is just too young and too ambitions. I'll agree with u .. not even native speakers may rate their english as 9 out of 10.
Lets forgive this little baby n just shake our head when she say her english is 9 out of 10 .

CrazyHorse, if not ambitious cannot achieve anything Life has too many competitors to lower down our ambitions. Young, ambitious and hard-working is a good start in life, agree?

My level is 2, decouse I studied this level.

seems true that even the abilities of native English speakers can't be rated higher by default. Any developed language is immense, and for instance, without considering such aspects as old forms of medieval English, as well as idioms, neologisms, stylistics, rhythm, etc., any evaluation can prove to be inadequate
my humble level is sorrowfully 7.

It gonna be worse to improve one's english in Malaysia due to significantly english limits of local people, I gain my 6 but I'm not sure it will be higher than that in Malaysia, I guess:)
